What is Talk Therapy ?
In individual psychotherapy, clients talk about their issues, reflect on their thoughts and feeling and find out how they want to handle them. If necessary, we will discuss coping skills and solution for them based on clinical psychology, energy psychology, Buddhism and spirituality. Some clients just need to share what happened to be heard in session. Others seek feedback, coping skills and solution. Talk therapy is good for emotional issues, depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, ADHD, lack of daily structure, and so on. Coping skills include essential oil, breathing, mindfulness (catching oneself), and conditioning.
Sample structure of Talk therapy sessions
1- talk about your issues and set goals. Talk about what modalities we may use.
2- figure out cognitive patterns and distortion by looking at situations, behaviors, and emotions from different angles. Evidence based approach and multidimensional view points.
3 – practice catching oneself and training your mind to think about different positive thoughts, using mindfulness, breathing, and other ways.
4 – talk about coping skills for racing thoughts, negative thoughts, negative emotions, and other issues. Coping skills include mindfulness, skills to catch yourself (reminder), breathing exercise, turtle breathing with mindfulness, walking with mindfulness, conditioning breathing technique, inhaling essential oil using protocol of chakra system, screen exercise, and others.
5 – build confidence and self efficacy by taking small goal setting with your intention and completing them with reward system.
